rep grid and tacit knowledge

One of the 'selling points' of the rep grid as a clinical assessment
tool is that it accesses pre-conscious (tacit) beliefs. Does anyone
know of any empirical studies actually showing that the rep grid is more
effective at this as compared to other interviewing techniques or
assessment instruments?
