The action on the PCP net, re training opportunities, does provide
pleasure.
Over the years, I have found it necessary to steer interested parties
into what has proved to be one or another blind alley. Many of us who have
worked with PCP have not been located in situations which can provide applied
practice opportunities. Funds usually are controlled by the applied-oriented
professors who work from one of the more socially
validated positions, and students would be poorly served were they to try to
enter a grad program in which they might have extended contact with a PCP
adherent, but where funding might be difficult to arrange.
Thus, any listing of training opportunities should clearly indicate the
possibilities of funding.
Perhaps, as constructionism gains greater social validation, the
picture will change!!
