Dear Robert,

Thanks for your message. I am pleased to learn of your interest. And
the idea of encapsulating the entirety of what I work at is most useful,
since it gives me a reason to re-formulate my so-called thinking.

It would help me a lot, and perhaps increase my relevance to you, if you
were to tell me more about your intention in writing, how you came to
know about Searle, and so forth. One of the most important points I
have taken from my teachers is the need to 'listen to the listening' of
the person with whom you are speaking; get some idea of where they are
coming from. Otherwise I risk leaving you, and others, glassy-eyed, and
contributing little with my comments.

Is that okay with you?

RSVP (PS I have my BA and MPA in Political Science, too, for what that's
worth.) Looking forward to hearing from you, best, gary
