Sorry, I don't think that a "summary" of research findings would be a
solution for being
informed: clearing house in USA and the reference book of Gabrielle
Chiary (both announced in this list) may help you to learn more about
what has been done in the field. I myself have no time to send you a
reference list on about 40 years of research.
By the way, I can hardly be considering "defensive" when I speak: perhaps it
is an artefact induced by electronic communication. Or is a matter of how you
interpret what I said. I said (smoothly) read or check: the only ways to
find out an answer. Do you know a third possibility?
If we are objectivist or not is for me a matter of "drawers": just another
label. Rocky or mob? Ana.
