1999 Congress and Coordinating Committee

Joern,
the idea of having the 1999 PCP Congress organized in Berlin is very
attractive. You have our vote.
As to the idea of a "coordinating committee" for preparing the proposals
for the congresses, we share the opinion that it would be helpful, but
at the same time we agree with Fay's reasoning. Maybe we can think of an
informal "consulting committee" consisting of representatives of
regional and/or continental organizations, so as to report the opinion
of a wide audience in special cases, that is, in the case that a
decision is not taken during the preceding conference, or the accepted
proposal is subsequently cancelled (this is at present the case).
We take advantage of the opportunity for presenting the newly founded
"Associazione Italiana di Psicologia e Psicoterapia Costruttivista",
AIPPC (Italian Association of Constructivist Psychology and
Psychotherapy). The members of the board of directors are: Maria Laura
Nuzzo (President), Gabriele Chiari (Secretary), Lorenzo Cionini
(Treasurer), Maria Armezzani, Massimo Giliberto, Vincent Kenny, and Mara
Ognibeni. The seat is in via Cavour 64, 50129 Firenze. Aim of the
Association is to represent a transversal organization for psychologists
and psychotherapists that make reference to a common constructivist
metatheory though operating on the basis of different theoretical
approaches (i.e., cognitive, phenomenological, psychoanalytic, systemic,
and so on).
