Structuralism and personal constructs

There is a remarkable similarity, virtually an identity, between the
notion of a construct and the notion of a bipolar dimension in
structuralism (ie stemming from structural linguistics). I've got a
feeling that the basic idea is much older, maybe stemming from Wundt?
Does anyone know if Kelly was influenced by other such another system in
formulating his own?
