Hello,
I am a new subscriber to the pcp mailbase. My name is Dana Cason and I
am a graduate student in clinical psychology at the University of
Missouri-St. Louis. I was introduced to personal construct psychology
through readings on/by George Kelly in a theories of personality class. I
became very interested in the processes involved in construing events. I
would like to use portions of pcp to understand the way that trauma victims
conceptualize themselves and their interpersonal worlds. I am hoping a
better understanding of the traumatic event-interpretation process will lead
to helpful interventions for trauma survivors. I am in the beginning stages
(very early beginning stages) of planning my dissertation. I understand
that some versions of the rep grid are in the public domain now (OMNIGRID?).
I haven't searched the WEB yet. If anyone has similar interests, I'd love
to hear from you.
