We absolutely must meet in April. Hardly anything got done on 2.1
in San Jose, and there are pressing issues. The top one on my stack
this week is tables. I would like to know if the table model in
Dave's HTML 3.0 is sufficiently well liked that it could be made
an optional module of 2.1.

[Rationale: the ability to display tables is a threshold for
technical publishing. With NCSA implementing 3.0 tables, it
would be good to see if we can agree upon that or some other
model so as to proceed together.]
