10 Base T:
A type of ethernet network cabling that uses twisted pair wire for the connections between computers. It runs at 10 Mbps and is commonly used for local area networks.

Accounting report:
Report created by the computer, giving the total sales and taxes accumulated by the hotel, for a specific time period. The accounting branch of the hotel can request a report at any time.

CGI scripts:
Programs which run on web servers and dynamically generate HTML output which web browers can display to the end user.

Check-In:
Register customer's arrival to the hotel into the computer system.

Data Base:
Internal storage of information that can be easily handled by the system.

Error:
Information entered into the computer that is considered to be wrong, or incorrect, in which the computer will not except.

Function:
Procedure or action done by the system.

Input:
Information entered into the computer by the user.

Modify:
Change the established values or prices.

NetBEUI:
It is a networking protocol used on local area networks by PC operating systems like Window for Workgroups, Windows 95, and Window NT.

ODBC:
Microsoft Open Datebase Connection, a set of functions that provide access to database files, text file, etc.

Output:
Information produced by the system at the end of a function.

Query:
Request search for specific data from the Data Base.

Reports:
Written statements that summarizes a particular aspect of the hotel.

System:
The whole computer program, with all it's functions and parts.

TCP/IP:
The set of protocols used on the Internet to communicate between computers all over the world.

User:
Individual who is using the Nova Hotel Booking System.

Wake-up calls:
Service provided by the Room Services.
