Authorized users
Those users authorized to access various GUIDOs subsystems.

Button
A graphical image, performs some action after clicked.

Click
A user action characterized by pressing a mouse button.

Database
A digital representation of information that can be related to other information.

Field
A field refers to a particular column of information.
The smallest logically meaningful unit of information.

Greyed Out
Greyed out refers to a button to which a user doesn't have the security level to access, and is therefore rendered inactive.

GUI
Stands for graphical user interface, pronounced gooey. When using a GUI, the person using the computer performs operations by using a mouse to click on buttons, icons, locations and scrollbars within windows rather than pressing keys on a keyboard to perform the same tasks.

GUIDOs
Grocers Utility Information Database Operations system. This is the system being developed.

Record
A collection of related fields.

Scroll Bar
A graphical device, usually to the left or the bottom of a window, represented by two arrows on either side of a movable bar. It indicates to the user that there is more information than can be viewed in the window. The user can either click on either arrow or move the scroll bar to bring other information into view.

UPC
Acronym for Universal Product Code, referring to a number representing a product.
