Executive Summary

Mail systems play an important role in making communication over networks productive. The systems we have evaluated all have the common Internet user in mined. These systems must provide users with reliable, and effective mail delievery. When I say effective, I refer to the systems ability to aid the user in creating clear and understandable messages. In order to achieve this we have paid close attention to the following areas to paint a clear picture of the Advantages and Disadvantages of each system.

Also to give use a better idea as the how the systems compare we have run each mailer through a set of uniform tests. These tasks are as followes:

• Create a user alias, for example allow the user to just type mike as the address rather then the receviers entire address.
• Forward and Reply to a message
