General Comments

• There is no main overview of the features available for the product. This would be nice to have since the users will then know what it can/can't do.
• The structure of the manual is generally clear and the instructions are usually good because they walk the user through each process.
• no clear explanation of "press"; using mouse button (left/right??)
• How come there are two tables of contents that don't match with each other, and why is the second in alphabetical order except for the first task: Remove/Replace a customer entry....

Main window

Order Information window

• missing sample interaction and trouble shooting.
• This window can ONLY be opened from the "Customer Information" window when clicked on "New Order" or "Edit Order" after the customer's details are listed, right? The "View Previous Orders" mentioned that "An order can only be viewed if a customer has been previously specified". That means you will not be able to open the "Order Information" window in the first place without selecting a customer. Maybe this should be mentioned at the beginning of your description of the "Order Information" window.
• "Deleting an Order", what happens when you click on OK? Do you get back to the "Order Information" window or back to the "Customer Information" window?
• "Entering Products Directly", no screen snapshot of the dialog box mentioned.
• "Deleting Products From an Order", this uses the keyboard's "delete" key instead of the dialog box which seems to be the more consistent method in the document.
• "Marking an Order as Delivered", button on the screen snapshot is "Delivered" whereas button in the document says "Delivered Today".
• "Setting Next Order Date", not clear how to do that...
• "Completing Changes Made to an Order", "Exit the Order Information Window", what happens after that?? Which window will we get to?
• "Obtaining On-line Help", no screen snap shot of help window.
• There are two points made about looking up how to open customer information window, one clear explanation should be enough
• There is too much introduction on how to place an order before it actually is explained. Then in the explanation section you start with deleting an order first. We would like to see adding and editing an order before deleting an order.
• No examples are given as to how to enter a product manually into an order, and it is not told what the correct format is.

Customer Information window

• missing sample interaction and trouble shooting.
• "Deleting a Customer", you mentioned about a dialog box that will confirm deletion, but no screen snapshot in the document. How will a user actually go about confirming the deletion?
• Similarly in the "Print Customer Information", dialog box mentioned, but no screen snapshot again. Long list of instructions in Print Box Window, but may not be obvious to a layperson.
• Would it not be easier to move this section together with the Order Window section, as they consistently refer to each other? The creation, editing of new orders should be together with the creation and editing of predicted orders.

Product List window

• In the Product List Window one can enter a product into the Order forms by double clicking on the specific product item, and one can delete the same product item by clicking on it once. This may cause some confusion with the user because of negative transferance in both directions. For example: when deleting a product the user may double click on the item, and when adding a product to an order form the user may single click on the item.
• There should be concrete examples for some or each of the functions showing how to add a product (using an actual product as an example, etc.)
• In the section marked "Exit the Product List Window" it states that the user may exit the screen by pressing the Cancel button, but this will lose any orders that may have been added. As this button may by pressed unintentionally it may be appropriate to have a confirmation button at this point.

• "Searching for a Particular Product", no screen snap shot of the " Search window"
• "Filtering" , mentions "double left and double right arrows" not found in the screen snapshot.
