Glossary of Terms:
1. Options:
A set of criteria that a user can use for a search of a
listing. For example: price of a house, # of bedrooms, etc.
2. Listing:
A place that is up for sale or rent where a user may
want to live. For example: a house, condo or apartment.
A listing includes information such as price, style,
location, etc.
3. Access level:
Certain functions are activated depending on
whether a user is a buyer, realtor or Administrator.
For example: realtors can make an offer on a house,
but a buyer cannot.
4. Modify:
Change some aspect of a file. For example: an administrator
can reassign a listing to another realtor
5. Administrator:
A user that supports the system, as well as has
access to certain functions that a realtor or
buyer does not, such as changing
realtors on a listing.
6. Pop-up Window:
A small screen that "pops-up" (or partly overlaps)
the screen that a user is currently using.
7. Hits:
Listing that appear after a search is initiated that match
the user's search criteria
8. Context-Sensitive Help:
A help system that will directly appeal
to the user currently in a screen.
9. Greyed Out:
De-activated, will not work.
10. Reference #:
Each listing will have it's own personal number,
and the data base will use this number to search
for a listing.
11. Offer:
Amount that a user is willing to pay to buy a given listing.
