Group Structure
The group will be organized as follows:
Group Leader
The group leader will be responsible for maintaining the
entire group's focus. Overall consistency of implementation and
documentation will be the chief duties of the group leader.
Basically, the group leader will be involved with every aspect of the
project and will try to maintain organization within the group.
Implementation Managers
There will be two implementation managers, one for the user
interface and one for the database engine. Each manager will make
sure the implementation remains consistent between each of the
sub-system implementation teams.
Documentation Managers
There will be two documentation managers, one for the user
interface and one for the database engine. The user interface
document manager will oversee the construction of the user manual.
The database engine document manager will oversee the construction of
the internal design documents. Both documentation managers will
cooperate to maintain a cohesive web-site detailing the project in
full.
Implementation Teams
The implementation of each sub-system will be carried to
completion by a team of two to three group members. The duties of
functional implementation, user interface implementation and
documentation will be split among the members of the team. Each
implementation team will be closely coupled. Each team-member will
know the others actions exactly. This will keep mistakes due to lack
of communication to an absolute minimum.
