Customers

Customers are up the final destination of papers and
magazines. Customers are the ones that pay Northam for each
product. They also have the power to lodge complaints.
In the Mammoth system there are three types of customers:
Households, Retail Outlets, and News Boxes.
They all use a similar interface to accomplish all
functions. Follow the links to the tutorial of you choice
- Households
are customers that have all deliveries made my a carrier.
Their magazine subscriptions are paid in advance and
newspapers are billed at the end of each month.
- Retail
Outlets are customers that are invloved in large scale
reselling of publications. Their accounts are consignment
based and have direct delivery of publications by Northam
delivery trucks.
- News Boxes are
not customers in the strictest sense but are best served by
the system if they are viewed as such. They are under the
direct supervision of Northham Publications and as such are
are serviced directly by Northam delivery trucks.
