Difficulties encountered in developing groupware

• design is complicated as groupware users are different in background and roles
  
  • It is difficult to design an interface that can meet all users' requirements.

  • Group processes are often variable and context sensitive and
    unfold over a relatively longer time frame than the individual
    activities.
    

• group behaviour can not be generalized to other groups
  • Each group is different and a group's behaviour are highly
    influenced by the conditions under which observation is
    made
