Editing of documents is also made much easier in MS Word. The capacity to have graphics overlap text allows users to circle problem areas. The annotation facilities are also better because of the ability to incorporate audio comments and to target the comments to specific areas in sentences. Lastly, the protection facility provided my MS Word gives the necessary security to prevent the editing of other users to cross the boundary by changing the document.

Both word processors have the needed Undo/Redo tools which permit large numbers of previous actions to be undone/redone, but MS Word excels here as well by providing better descriptions of actions as well undo capabilities while drawing.
Though WordPerfect may not be quite as specialized for manipulating textual documents, it is exceeds MS Word in its ability to incorporate aspects of multimedia into documents, most notably its drawing facility. Though the graphics cannot be incorporated within the text, the images that can be created are of much higher quality because of the various drawing aids that are provided as well as the special effects that can be applied to the images. Additionally, the TextArt allows flashy word styles to be incorporated into the document, a necessity in advertisement documents. Finally, the incorporation of audio files takes WP beyond MS Word, encompassing capabilities needed for presentations.
WordPerfect also stands out on top with its help facilities. The coaches focus more on the specific needs of the user, taking them step-by-step through their current hurdle, where as MS Word simply gives demos and instructions which focus on the general needs.
