When we were looking for HTML editors to review we came up with quite a few. Some were available in stores and others on the Web. We choose the ones that were available on the Web, these were free trial packages. The packages we reviewed were HotDog, Live Markup, Aardvark, and Compuserves Home Page Wizard. To test these software packages fairly we created a web page which included all the major compents of HTML. The page we created with each of these editors included: Several Header classes, horizontal lines with sizing, the different Font tags, a table, a form, both internal and external links, mail to link, an image with sizing, special character (ie: the Ampersand), and lists (unordered and ordered). We also tried to combine some of these together, for instance having a list item double as an internal link. After using each editor we created an overview for each one.
