I can't imagine a student ever calling Geroge Kelly "Uncle George" to his
face during his lifetime. He was a firm believer in roles and his
university professor role did not allow students to address him as
anything but Doctor Kelly. Why, when we went to his home for a social
occasion, he formally introduced each of us, his graduate students, to
each other!
