Right!

And, at least in my day, he addressed all students as "Mr.," "Miss,"
or "Mrs." (no Ms. in those days).

Upon my getting my PhD he began addressing his mail to me as "Dear
Rue" and signed it "George," but I could never bring myself to call or
address him as anything except "Dr. Kelly."
