The past decade has seen a growing interest in critical ideas and
qualitative methods throughout psychology. In addition, there is
increasing awareness of the social, cultural and material foundations of
health and illness. This conference has been convened to consider the
impact of these ideas within health psychology and to discuss how
health psychologists can develop theories and methods which can not
only lead to a better understanding of health and illness but also
contribute more to the creation of a healthier society.
The conference will consist of keynote papers by leading international
speakers, workshops and free papers.
