Displaying HEAD info

I have no objection to allowing users access to HEAD information, as
long as the default is to suppress its display.

It is very important that we have the ability to embed non-displaying
information in HEAD. Support for resource discovery systems on the Web
is possible only through the advance of metadata standards for resource
description. The most natural thing will be to have the object carry
its own description inside a META tag that lives in the HEAD.
Currently it is possible to keep this information hidden only though
one of several unhappy kludges. This needs to be fixed as soon as
possible.
