Introduction of the Company
BFCS is a small manufacturing firm that is slowly starting to expand in
size and in the number of clients it will serve. With the increase in size
and clients, it is necessary to review and introduce new and improved
software solutions to the ever increasing data demands. This review extends
into all areas of the information system area, and includes looking at
increasing the software tools used, finding tools that can be used for more
than one specific job, and finding the best tool for the job. The sudden
increase in profits allow the company to find the best tool without the
concern for the price demands of these tools (within reason). Therefore
the ideal software will be able to carry out the tasks of today and beyond.
