Classic PCP views are contained in Kelly (1955) and McCoy (1977) [in
Bannister's New Perspectives in PCT book.] They identify emotion with
awareness of transition, suggesting that music might subtley shape
transitions in our construing in particular directions.
Maturana (esp. as interpreted by Jay Efran) porvides quite a different
constructivist view, centering on the emotional processing as action
tendency, present in all human functions.
Les Greenberg (with Jeremy Safran) have written most consistently about a
constructivist view of emotion, esp. in therapy.
