And birds?

For the last two years we have had a mistle-thrush batter itself almost to
death in the garage windows which are highly reflective. Undoubtedly this
creature sees the reflection as an invader of territory.

I'm not sure how much further this takes the discussion, but whereas my
cats too would decline to look in mirrors, my young grandson at 6 weeks
would stare at himself and me if held up to the mirror, and the thrush
goes one stage further.
