Bit off main theme but there has been some interest in PCP and
sexuality of late on the list and I think there's been a growing
theme about interest in taking PCP ideas into other territories.

A one day national conference.

Oncology and Sexuality: The impact of disease and treatment on sexuality
and sexual behaviour.

Organised by the Faculty of Health, University of Central Lancashire,
Preston.
Tuesday 11 May 1999

Conference Aims

· Explore the effects of oncological disease and its treatments on male
and female sexuality and sexual behaviour.

· Examine the role of health care professionals in supporting men and
women who are adjusting to changes in sexual function and sexuality as a
result of disease and treatments.

· Encourage understanding of oncology and its effects on human sexuality
and to disseminate good practice.

· Promote greater awareness of the needs of patients and their partners.

Who should attend:

· The conference will be of interest to all health care workers who work
with people who have experienced either oncological disease or changed
body image. It is relevant to those working in sexual and mental
health, particularly those in psychosexual therapy and psychology.
