I'm sure I've seen a paper on fuzzy grids which were more explicitly
"fuzzy" than the sort of thing to which Tim Connor rferred in his reply
to this query. As far as I recall the value placed in each cell expressed
the probability with which the construct applied to the element in
question... I _think_!

Try as I can, I can't lay my hands on the offprint, but I'll have another
got he enxt time I'm in the department.
