Oh dear. Plaese don't let our view of HTML be totally driven by the
current look of Mosaic.
We can't you jst allow the user hit a hotkey to allow a file to be inserted
into *any* field? Don't confuse the mechanics of how the data gets
in there with the specification of what the field can accept.
(Suppose I want o paste something in? maybe I need a
INPUT=PASTE? (That was sarcasm.))
Personally, I want to be able to drop an icon into a field.
It could represent a URI or the content of an object. I don't want
to worry about whether it is a local file or not in the latter case.

All this comes about because Mosaic doesn't allow you to create
noe documents, as it can't edit. I want to see the
WIT "Agree" button in the client, causing it to create a new document
with a typed link tothe given one, to be edited (maybe have
a file dumped into it) and POSTed on File/Save.

Just use HTTP POST. With NO FORM.
