|I don't have a problem with this, with the exception of the last sentence of
|the description.   I think that could disappear without causing any
|BOF-putting-together problems.   But a joint IETF WG / "SGML Open Technical
|Committee" has no precedent that I know of and I would hope that we could
|work out whatever agreements are needed on approval processes and whatever
|else this might mean, before invoking  language like "be also known as an
|SGML Open technical committee."

The idea was Yuri Rubinsky's -- he chairs SGML Open and is on HTML-IG
(HTML-WG to be).  I expect if it's what everyone wants we can find a formula.
