if i recall the html right, there was no way to specify that you read
news from a *particular* news server, a la the same way you'd point at
a particular gopher or wais server.

the syntax if you could would look something like
  nntp://news.msen.com:119/news.groups			a newsgroup
  nntp://news.msen.com:119/news.groups/1114		article (by number)
  nntp://news.msen.com:119/1236INNuq@news.msen.com	article (by msgid)
