[Nat talks about using <BASE> to solve the URL redirection problem]
In addition to <BASE> (which solves the relative URL problem) I encourage
browser writers to support the 300 series (moved and forward) return codes.
This lets you totally redirect the query to the returned location. This
means the result of your query can be *any* URL type, not just a local
document (it's a true redirect instead of a return and alias).
The NCSA Mosaic folks have added these into their latest prerelease.
Thank you, thank you, thank you.
