This is a pre-release announcement for version 2.0.10 of the Lynx hypertext
browser. Anyone who would like to do a little pre-testing of Lynx before
it's official release is invited to participate.

This release of Lynx has been compiled by me on the following platforms:

   IBM (AIX 3.2, 3.1)
   DEC (Ultrix, VMS)
   Sun 3 and 4
NeXT (Mine is an older version of NeXTStep, but it should work
	 with newer ones too)

Binaries for the following platforms are available.
IBM (AIX 3.2, should work for 3.1 as well)
   Sun 4
   VMS (for multinet)

Try it out and send any bug reports and or fixes to:

I'm going to be at a Z39.50 conference Tues-Fri so don't expect immediate
replies. (Maybe when I get back I'll write a Z39.50 '92 access protocol
module. Yeah right! :)

The instructions for compiling on a VMS system are a little weird since
the new WWW Library won't compile on VMS yet. Therefore Lynx must use the
older 1.X library under VMS.

Otherwise Lynx is now fully compatible and preferentially uses version
2.X of the WWW Library.

If you would rather wait for the productional release, expect it sometime
this weekend.
