Subject: HTML Search Form Question
X-Listprocessor-Version: 6.0c -- ListProcessor by Anastasios Kotsikonas
I would like to do some Search Form-type work in a Web site. The way that
I would like for it to work is that the user can enter a search screen and
merely enter and submit a search request. The system would go out to a
large list of documents, retrieve the answer set, and display them to
the user. If there is more than one hit it would be ideal if the primary
answer set is a list of links to the document underneath.
Has anyone done this type of work without using WAIS? If so, can you give
me some hints on how to get started? If not, I could definitely use some
advice on getting started with WAIS.
Thanks. Please respond to bryon@meaddata.com.
