Viewing A Book

Description
If a book exists in the database, it is possible to easily view the information about it. Viewing a specific book requires knowledge of that specific book's ISBN number. Viewing a book differs from viewing a book copy. When viewing a book, information about the book as a whole will be displayed including title, author, publisher, number of copies, etc, but will not contain any information about a specific book (such as location). Specific book copies are displayed in a limited fashion on this page and can be used to look at the specific book copy's information from this page.

How To Use This Function
  1. Left click on the 'Book Administration' button from the Main Menu. This will bring up the Book Administration menu.
  2. Left Click 'View Book' from Book Administration Menu. This will bring up the View Book form which contains an empty field for entry of the ISBN number of the book that will be viewed.
  3. Enter ISBN number. If the ISBN number is valid, a window will be brought up which will display the book information of the book that corresponds to the ISBN number. Note that this is the same page that allows for modification of book data.
  4. When finished viewing book data, left click once on the 'EXIT' button. The system will then return to the View book form so that another ISBN number can be entered so that another book can be viewed.
To exit the View Book form, left click once on the 'CANCEL' button. This will return to the Book Administration menu. Note that if the ISBN number field has data entered, but the 'CANCEL' button is pressed, the system will not attempt to bring up the information about that book.
To quit the Book Administration menu, left click once on the 'QUIT' button.
