General Description
 | Information about a book copy is added separately from the book copy so that this information doesn't have to be added each time a book copy is added. This is where the librarian adds information on the book's ISBN number, title, author, publisher, subject, cost, and other information. |

| ISBN Number | Enter the ISBN number of the book this information corresponds to (required). |
| Title | Title of the book (required). |
| Author | The author of the book (required). |
| Publisher | Publisher of the book (required). |
| Subject | A list of subjects that this book is classified under. Multiple subjects are separated by a semi-colon (required). |
| Book Category | Category of the media that this book is classified under (required). |
| Media Type | Kind of media this is (Book, CD-ROM, CD, etc) (required). |
| Cost | The cost of replacing this book for the library (required). |
| Version | Version of the book (optional). |
| Edition | Edition of the book (optional). |
| Print Button | Adds the book information, prints a report for this book information, and exits. |
| OK Button | Adds the book information to the system and exits. |
| Cancel Button | Cancels adding the book information and exits. |
| Help Button | Gets help on using the Add Book screen of the book management system. |
