Adding a Household Customer Record

To Add a Household Customer Record


  1. Press the Add button located near the top left portion of the form. This will clear all fields displayed in the form.
  2. Enter information into fields. By placing the mouse over a field and pressing the left mouse button the uesr can then enter data into the field. DO NOT PRESS ENTER. DOING SO WILL CAUSE THE RECORD TO BE UPDATED.

    Enter Smithers in the last name field.
    Enter Josiah in the first name field.
    Enter (403)273-1200 in the telephone field.
    Enter Apt #4 10500 42 Avenue N.E. in the street field.
    Enter T3E 0T5 in the postal code field.
    Assume that Mr. Smithers lives in district one and his service zone is three. Then enter 1 in the district field and 3 in the the delivery zone field.
    If Mr. Smithers wishes to have his publication delivered elsewhere enter a new address in the Delivery Address field, otherwise press the button labeled =Mail Address over the Delivery Address field.
    Gee, Mr. smithers wishes his publications to be placed in his mail box. In the Delivery Instructions text box enter Make sure paper is in mail box, not on lobby floor.

  3. Once all fields have been filled click the OK button to update the database. Mr. Smithers is now a Northam customer.
  4. Mr. Smithers does not have any publications being delivered to him. We must Subscribe Mr. Smithers to a publication.
  5. If a mistake was maded during the adding procedure pressing the CANCEL button causes the interface to revert to its condition before the Add button was pressed.
