As it grows in popularity, many companies are advertising their services on the World-wide Web. To create these advertising/information pages, these companies need to create HTML documents. Instead of taking time to create these documents as straight ASCII files, HTML editors can help create these documents easily, efficiently, and cost-effectively.
Of the large number of editors available on-line (see Mag's Big List of HTML Editors) we reviewed four of them. Two of the editors we reviewed were WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) editors - Home Page Wizard from Compuserv and Live Markup, while the other two were text-based editors - Aardvark Pro and HotDog Standard.
This report will outline the editors that we reviewed, the tests done on the editors, the results of our test, and our conclusions from these results.
