Electronic Mail is a way to discourse on the Internet. It can be easy and fast to communicate with other people through send, receive or reply fucntions of electronic mail.
People can send, receive or reply electronic mail because each machine on the internet has an unique address, and each person with an account on that machine also has an unique name on that machine. Anyone can send a digital message to a specific individual with their unique name and address, and that digital message will be placed in their digital mail- box.
Because of the message sent by the user through electronic mail is digital, it is not restricted to sending text. It can also send pictures and sounds, etc (multimedia attachments).
In Electronic Mail, you can see a full spectrum of information about any particular mail message. It will indicate where the mails come from(unique address of the sender), the sender of the mail(unique name), when the mail is received (date), the receivers of the mail, the subject of the mail, and of course the message itself. Also, you can insert the information about youself (sender) with three 'signature' lines at the bottom of the mail.
Reply function is one of the convenient function in electronic mail. It is very easy to use and it can save a lot of time for the user. By using this function, the user can avoid typing errors. Also, they don't have to re-type the important part of the message which is from the sender that they want to mention in their reply. To use the reply function in the electronic mail is simply to type 'reply' after you read the message/mail. You don't have to retype the information about the sender. Just choose reply function, so that a reply message/mail will automatically be sent to that particular sender. Moreover, the indented portion of the message send can be used to provide a context for the reply.
Electronic mail is a very fast way to communicate with people. It takes a couple minutes to send/receive the mail to/from people all over the world. It could also avoid the time for posting and a posting errors. It can be indexed by source, subject and date, and sortable on any one of those keys. It is a very good communication medium which help people to get closer together. A major purpose of mail is that people can exchange their ideas/informations through electronic mail. It is just like to have a meeting or discussion together. The benefit is a group of people not necessary to have the same time constraints able to compose or discuss information together. They can write the documents individually and put them together through the electronic mail at the end.
Although, electronic mail cannot do any searching, it can be used communicate and get the informations to and from other people. We can share and exchange our ideas or information through electronic mail. For example, we can mail the site address, pictures, and any information that about visual programming to our group members. Every group member can also get some visual programming information from their friends through the electronic mail.
