Devi brought up his objections to censorship by removing offenders from
the PCP list.

I reluctantly disagree. Lists are not for open discussion of any topic.
They are restricted to certain discussions. Repeated violations of the
basic rules of the list calls for action on the part of the listowner.
We do NOT all own this list unless it is set up that way from the start.
There ARE lists like that and then the kinds of personal attacks that
have deluged this list are within the rules. I would certainly not want
to interfere with the rights of the combatants to express themselves
publicly on any topic. I would just maintain that the listowner has the
right to insist that they do it somewhere else. It is easy enough with
most mailers to set up a list and e-mail to all interested parties.
Anyone wishing to watch can do so.
