Dan,

I would like to see nesting of different types of emphasis allowed
and distinguished (e.g. italic-bold text) on those browsers which
can support such combinations. 

On dumb terminals etc. we should perhaps make some recommendations
for how to render different types of emphasis, e.g.

        *strong*, _em_, _cite_, *bold*, _italic_

Please keep the <U>underline</U> tag in the spec.
