X-Mailer: Perl Mail System v1.2
The vote was successful for the creation of the group by a wide margin.
I tried to post the vote yesterday, but uunet seems to be really confused,
and it couldn't find the moderator of news.announce.newgroups, despite
all best efforts. Uunet fixed that today. (Then I sent this notice
out to www-talk, and it bounced. Then / on our mail machine filled up
and I lost the response from the postmaster at uunet about the
mail to news.announce.newgroups. I love mail).
The procedure at this point is that I "post" the results (they go
to the moderator of news.announce.newgroups, and he posts). Five days
after they are posted, if there are no major complaints, the moderator
will send out a message to create the newsgroup.
If anybody happens to know why I can't send mail to uunet, that would
help things a bit.

(Let's hope the undergrad I sacrificed was enough to appease the mail
gods.)
