that they were conspicuously absent from the latest URL draft. I take
it that was not an accident.
More specifically, how should proxy gateways handle these?? I
had hacked CERN's 2.16beta to transparently turn these into ftp:
references....this seemed to work well.
Should I do this again for 2.17, or would I be justified in
asking the providers of information to upgrade their links?
