The official registration site for Internet Assigned Numbers Authority
(IANA) recognized MIME types is at ftp://ftp.isi.edu/in-notes/media-types/
The MIME types are also periodicaly published as an Internet RFC.
The latest one is RFC 1340 "ASSIGNED NUMBERS".
