Well, I think this is great... I am an artist and have art on WWW sites.
It seems that this program would be good for creating thumbnails of
pictures for my art which I can then add back to the www pages...
Am i right that the program can do this?

As for ethics and legalities... Well I think that in art you have
to be aware of the artist's desires and follow them. I am in a Virtual
Art Gallery on the WWW called OTIS (
and when artists store things there, they also store information on
how they want their art/images to be treated and used. This is helpful
because artist can make their own choices instead of going with the
choice of the gallery curator.

My art is freeart, and there are no restrictions on using it except

	1. You include the README file with the images so that others
	   know it is share art.
	2. That if you dramatically alter the image, please do not
attach my name to it as it will not be art I have done....

One form of dramtically changing it would be to scribble on
top of it with a image editor...

If you can't find my art on OTIS (due to the reconstruction we are
doing, you can always pick it up at a ftp site. I won't post the site
here but if you are interested, please let me know and I'll pass the
info on to you. As soon as I get my own internet node and WWW site,
I'll let you know the Url of my virtual art gallery.

Hope this helps....
