I am releasing the sources for diswww, a stand-alone gateway that
enables WWW users to access Discuss, a network electronic conferencing
system written at MIT.

I installed a copy of the gateway on
    http://www.mit.edu:8008/

The sources are available by anonymous FTP from
    ftp://sipb.mit.edu/pub/diswww/diswww.tar.gz
Note that this site currently also serves the RTFM.MIT.EDU FAQ
archives, so you might run into the annoying "Maximum number of users
exceeded" message...

I also created a mailing list for announcements and discussion of
diswww porting and development. It's intended to be fairly
low-volume. The list name is diswww@mit.edu, and requests for
addition/deletion should be sent to diswww-request@mit.edu.

If you want more information about the gateway, send me mail.

PS. The sources require that you have Discuss installed on your
system. Just in case you are interested, the sources for Discuss
and some limited documentation are available by anonymous FTP
     from ftp://athena-dist.mit.edu/pub/ATHENA/discuss/discuss1.6.tar.Z
