           Introduction

To ensure the quality and correctness of GUIDOs SquidSoft Inc. has devised a series of tests. These tests include unit testing, and integration testing. Unit testing is done to test that each individual subsystem performs as per the specifications. Integration testing verifies that all the subsystems work together smoothly and flawlessly. The objectives of these tests are to make sure the GUIDOs system developement and implementation proceed as quickly and smoothly as possible without compromising on the final quality of the GUIDOs software.

The testing schedule is as follows:

  • March 10 - 16, unit testing of the Product, Personnel, Cashier, and Stores interfaces
  • March 18 - 30, unit testing of the Orders, Security, and Inventory interfaces
  • April 1 - 6, integration testing including the testing of the Login and Main Menu interfaces

           Testing Responsibilities

  • Product Interface - Ben Chan
  • Personnel Interface - Adam Symonds and Pat Bergamin
  • Cashier Interface - Terry Tan and Lai Lau
  • Stores Interface - Terry Tan and Lai Lau
  • Security Interface - Kit Chan and Gilbert Wong
  • Inventory Interface - Tom Allan and Joe Goethals
  • Orders Interface - Zac Jacobson and Greg Perrott
  • Integration testing - Marius Zydyk and Keith Uyeno

Each of the individual testers are responsible for documenting any errors and/or deficiencies of the section they are testing. This document well include the names of the testers, date of the test, description of error or change required. This document will then be passed on to the programmer responsible for the interface. The programmer also adds to this document, stating what changes were made to correct the problem and how much time was spent correcting the problem.
