Final Evaluation - Time Management

Because all of the group member's hard working, time management for this project is not really a hard task. We always set an internal deadline which is about two days before the actual deadline. We did a very good job in time estimation since we always handed in our work by the internal deadline. Hence, we always met the actual deadlines.

Overall, the due dates given were fairly reasonable in comparison with the actual times taken for each part. The amendments for the 80-100 page Detailed Design Document was helpful and fair. We feel that would be wise to keep these dates for future CPSC451 classes, except the due date of the informal specification of requirements and the first supplier report. In our opinion, the informal specification of requirements should have been given more time. Also, the first report should not submit in the same week with Functional specification and management plan.

This project demanded more on document writing than the actual software development. Most of our groups time and effort was spent on writing lengthy papers which is seemed that no one wants to read, especially the detailed design document which was about one hundred pages.

We only have two members assigned to the programming team. They have spent for almost 16 hours to finish the final product. However, we spent most of our time in testing the program to ensure that everything works fine according to the customer specification. That is the reason why we have developed several different versions.
