This list is intended for the EXPRESS and SOLE purpose of advancing the
development of the HTML standard, the focus of which is currently
finalization of the 2.0 draft.
Ruminations about toying with tag applications, promoting new tags, or
inciting general discussions about the way HTML should work are
UNNWELCOME and a burden on the overloaded mail queues of those who are
working hard to midwife this standard.
Dan Connolly has reposted the recommended procedure for suggesting new
features. Read it carefully and consider whether you wish to follow
through with a formal proposal. It is also prudent to privately
enlist the advice of an experienced implementor before bringing the
issue to the attention of the group at large.
