I don't know how we would accomplish it, but several mail lists supporting
this group would be real helpful to group productivity. All should be
archived, etc. Of course the group as a whole would need to agree that
concensus of the subgroup carried a high weight for the group as a whole
otherwise we'd just have the discussions twice!
I'd prefer to followed some threads in the archives. I might post less
and certainly better understand the latest sense of the group better
if I wasn't facing 200 mail messages, etc.
