Note that I said "widely used".

My only reason for wanting to limit charset to a subset of ISO 10646
was to simplify things. If people *really* want to allow all and a
sundry, well, this *is* a place for free discussion and group
consensus.

I do not appreciate private email being quote without permission
being asked first BTW.
